The Girl Scout story is the story of women in America. In 1912, there was no path to leadership for women. Today, Girl Scout alumnae represent two-thirds of our nation’s most accomplished women in public service, business, science, education, the arts, and community life.
The Girl Scout History Conference 2011 is more than a fascinating trip through time. Attendees will learn how to use our unique legacy to market their councils and anchor fund development programs going into our centennial. Along with useful tips and techniques, you’ll have opportunities to exchange ideas with Girl Scout historians and your colleagues from across the US.
The conference is made possible by the Girl Scout National Historic Preservation Center, which offers training to council staff and volunteers year-round.
When: During the week leading up to the National Council Session.
