Alumnae Story
Four Generations and a Great Aunt's Macy Pin

My daughter is a fourth-generation Girl Scout, so obviously Girl Scouting is very important to our family.

Several years ago, we lost almost everything in a house fire only weeks before I was to attend Macy for a trainers' conference. I really didn’t think I was going to be able to go with everything in such a disarray. But my family encouraged me to take the time and get away.

At this conference, I completed the pinning ceremony for my Macy pin, only I was honored enough to be pinned with my great aunt's pin, which she had received almost 40 years earlier!
