New Board Chairs: Leading High-Performance Councils

This course focuses on the leadership role of newly elected board chairs. During the course, new board chairs will be encouraged to explore the work of strategic boards, build and strengthen their leadership skills, focus on developing supportive relationships with their chief executive officers and look at ways to lead their boards to a level of exceptional performance. In addition, they will have the opportunity to network with peers, share best practices and learn about what works in governance and leadership. Without a doubt, this new network will be helpful to new board chairs as they provide strategic leadership to their councils!

Who Should Attend
New board chairs. Participants must be elected to office before attending the course.
