Essentials of Council Shop Management

This dynamic, three-and-a-half day workshop provides everything you need to know to get impressive bottom-line results in running a Girl Scout council-operated shop. Learn how to organize and maintain important paperwork, effectively plan promotions and improve visual merchandising skills. There will be an opportunity to tour GSUSA headquarters in Manhattan, where you can "put a face to the voice" by personally meeting GSM staff members.

  • Planning stocks and purchases
  • Developing and implementing seasonal plans for advertising and display
  • Using information systems to maximize sales
  • Interacting with GSM buyers and customer service personnel

This course is a pre-requisite to Advanced Skills in Council Shop Management.
