Explore the Appalachian Mountain foothills on horseback

Can't get enough of soft muzzles, flowing manes, quiet knickers, and the thrill of riding new trails on horseback? This is your opportunity to surround yourself with everything horses. Explore the Chattahoochee National Forest from your saddle.

Picture It

Gather with 24 other Girl Scouts who are passionate about horses to explore on horseback the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Start your equestrian adventure by planning and preparing for an overnight trail ride to the Misty Mountain Outpost. Look forward to caring for your horse in an open meadow, setting up camp and cooking meals over a campfire. Venture away from camp on an all-day trail ride in the Chattahoochee National Forest. In addition to trail riding, participate in riding lessons in the arena and equestrian workshops.
