Spend a week learning the basics of filmmaking from young Hollywood professionals and discovering what role in Hollywood is best for you! You’ll be assisted in writing, directing, producing and editing a short film. After the destination, your film will be submitted to the Los Angeles Digital Film Festival. Picture It Come join 17 other Girl Scouts to live the Hollywood Dream for a week. After a private studio tour and some views of the Hollywood sign, we’ll get down to business. At our college campus basecamp, you’ll learn the basics of filmmaking. Under the supervision of Hollywood actors, screenwriters, editors, and producers, you’ll be making your very own short film in a group. We’ll be covering as many of the basics as we can throughout the week and in some cases we’ll be doing the action for you to keep everything moving along. However, every girl will get a chance to sit in the Director’s chair. At the end of the week, you’ll screen your groups film and receive a DVD copy to take home. All completed films will be submitted to the Los Angeles Digital Short Film Festival. This is not a destination for those who want to act (actors will be performing your screenplay), but rather for those who want to learn about what goes on behind the camera.
