Picture It

Come join up to 17 other Girl Scouts for an unforgettable week long journey around the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. After landing in St. Thomas, we’ll transport you to our 100 foot long tall mast sailing boat. Once aboard you’ll start to learn the basics of setting, trimming, and furling the sails, steering, navigating, and cleaning the boat. As we sail among the islands, you’ll have a chance to learn knots, splicing, and a variety of marlinespike seamanship skills. We’ll explore the marine ecology while kayaking, fishing, and snorkeling. At night, we may camp on the local Caribbean beaches or just unroll a sleeping bag and pad on deck. Our unpolluted views of the night sky will reveal an amazing world of astronomy and night navigation. It’s a once in a lifetime amazing adventure.
