Spend an unforgettable 10 day journey traveling through the beauty of the “Old World” German country side. Begin with Munich, “The City with a Heart”, and slowly venture out into the dense forests and soaring peaks of the Bavarian Alps. Picture It Our home base will be the capital city of Bavaria - Munich - a city that is almost 1000 years old. It’s soaring cathedrals, museums, Olympic parks, and medieval shopping squares will be explored on foot and by Segway. As we move outward into the countryside that surrounds the city, we will travel the famed “Romantic Road” through several traditional villages. Spend a day in the Black Forest, take a cable car to the top of the highest peak in the Northern Alps and visit the castle that Walt Disney used as his inspiration for Cinderella’s Castle. Our time will end in the city of Salzburg, Austria, made famous by the Sound of Music. Here we will walk the city’s fortress walls, garden’s and shopping areas and end with a bus tour of the Austrian sites that appear in the now famous musical.
