Apostle Island Kayak Adventures
Experience breathtaking views from the seat of your kayak and the front door of your tent.
You will get the opportunity to experience the jewels of Lake Superior along windswept beaches, cliffs, and sea caves. This is a place where water meets land and sky, and past meets present. Picture It Join together with nine other girls to explore one of the most beautiful areas of northern Wisconsin. Once you arrive to Wisconsin, you will spend time at Camp Black Hawk working on your paddling, outdoor skills, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. Spend up to 7 days paddling around the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. While paddling through sea caves, visiting lighthouses, and cooking over an open fire, you will also create a stewardship journal as you meet with park rangers and outdoor leaders during the day and camp along the lakeshore at night. Once you have completed your northern Wisconsin journey, you will use that journal when you return home as you educate others in how to be responsible stewards of land and water.
