Year of the Girl

GS Central

Welcome

Girl Scout Central is designed to help answer questions about Girl Scouting and direct you to current program offerings. The index on the left serves as a quick reference for general topics.

In Girl Scouting, girls start with a Journey from the National Leadership Journeys series where they can earn awards, have fun, and take on projects that change the world! Girls then add The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting to their program portfolio. The Girl's Guide offers girls national proficiency badges, traditions and history, an awards log, and much more. Let Brownie Elf walk you through a fun video describing the Girl's Guide! For complete information about what girls from kindergarten through high school do in Girl Scouts and the awards they can earn, please see the Program page.

Girls will want to keep up with all the excitement in Girl Scouting by tuning into Girl Scouts for girls, a site just for girls and teens to enjoy Girl Scout games and videos and explore travel, global girls, and fun!

Volunteers will find it helpful to talk to their Girl Scout councils about handy resources including Volunteer Essentials—a guide for Girl Scout adults—and Girl Scouting 101, the online orientation. To locate the council nearest you, see the Girl Scout Council Finder.
