Girl Scout Volunteer Invite-a-Friend Promotion Terms and Conditions (February 2014) ("Official Rules")

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INVITE-A-FRIEND PROMOTION

1. DESCRIPTION

Under the Girl Scout Volunteer Invite-a-Friend Promotion (February 2014) (“Promotion”), eligible registered Girl Scout adult members (“Recruiters”) who start a new troop by recruiting a Girl Scout Troop Leader (“Recruited Volunteer”) for a new Kindergarten through 5th grade troop shall receive a $50 discount at the Official Online Girl Scouts Shop (up to a maximum of two new troops started by two Recruited Volunteers) and the Recruited Volunteer(s) shall receive certain free program resources, as set forth more fully below. Void where prohibited by law.

2. PERIOD

This Promotion shall be in place from February 1, 2014 to February 28, 2014 ("Promotional Period").

3. ELIGIBILITY

This Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, who are at least 18 years of age and are registered Girl Scout adult members. Employees of Girl Scouts of the United States of America or the Girl Scout Councils who are responsible for member recruitment are ineligible.

4. PROMOTION DETAILS

To participate in the Promotion, the Recruiter must click the hyperlink and complete the online form for the Promotion, specifying, among other things, the Recruited Volunteer that he or she has recruited to be a new Kindergarten through 5th grade troop leader. The Recruited Volunteer must complete a membership form and volunteer application and start a troop. The Girl Scout Council must confirm that a new troop has been started by the Recruited Volunteer. Upon satisfaction of these conditions, Recruiters will receive one (1) $50 discount code to the Official Online Store (http://www.girlscoutshop.com) that expires April 30, 2014 for each new troop and Recruited Volunteer (up to a maximum of two new troops started by two Recruited Volunteers). The Recruited Volunteer(s) shall receive One (1) Girls Guide to Girl Scouting, One (1) Journey, One (1) Journey adult guide, and One (1) badge activity set of their choice (for Girl Scout Brownie and Junior troop Leaders).

The discount codes and program resources will be distributed after the Promotional Period, but no later than March 15, 2014. Each unique discount code has a value of $50 and is a onetime use only code. Once the purchases are in the Recruiter’s cart, they apply the coupon code, and $50.00 will be deducted from their product purchases on the order prior to shipping and applicable tax. Shipping and tax where applicable are not included in the discount. If the Recruiter spends less than $50.00, only the amount of the product will be deducted from the order. The balance of the $50 will be forfeited as the coupon cannot be used on future purchases. Only one coupon per order can be used and cannot be combined with other coupon offers that may be running on the web store during this time period. Council items and gift certificates are excluded from this offer.

If these program resources are unavailable, Girl Scouts of the United States of America (“GSUSA” or “Sponsor”) may substitute other program resources of equal value. Please allow two (2) to three (3) weeks for delivery.

5. GENERAL RULES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY/RELEASE

Recruiter agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and that all decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all respects, and to release Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, agents, attorneys, employees, and other parties from any and all liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind (including, without limitation, those related to personal injury, death, damage to property, infringement of proprietary rights, rights of publicity, or privacy or defamation), and attorney fees, whether or not in connection with litigation, including but not limited to any harm or loss caused by, contributed to, arising out of, or related to Recruiter’s or Recruited Volunteer’s participation in this Promotion. By participating, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts. Sponsor's failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute the waiver of such provision.
