TMA Resources Inc.
New York, N.Y.—As part of the historic transformation of Girl Scouting already under way, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is pleased to announce its partnership with TMA Resources, a leading provider of member relationship management software to the association and community-based marketplace.
This affiliation will improve GSUSA’s technical capabilities and make it possible for councils and GSUSA to work together at maintaining and organizing data valuable to its members with Personify, TMA Resources’ flagship membership management software system.
With the many exciting changes going on within Girl Scouting, it was essential to find a software platform that could organize information so that both councils and GSUSA can access information simply and effectively. TMA Resources was chosen because of its experience in the membership software market that dates back more than 30 years.
“Building stronger councils and improving our ability to serve girls is at the heart of our national transformation and TMA Resources’ product, Personify, will allow us to transform how work is conducted at the council level to serve our members more efficiently,” said Kathy Cloninger, CEO, GSUSA. “Improving our ability to track and reach out to members is a necessary go-forward step of the entire movement.”
Personify is a full-featured software application with integrated functionality that can do more than just maintain membership information. The implementation of Personify will allow for online registrations for activities/camp, volunteer certifications, facilities management, and contact management (lists/email blasts) -- all with appropriate access security.
The process of finding a technology firm started in early 2006, and the final decision was made by a joint committee comprised of council and GSUSA representatives. Although there were many other impressive contenders, TMA Resources emerged as the favorite because their leading edge product – Personify – has the functionality and features that best met the needs of the councils and the national office and requires minimal customization to the base product.
“Personify, with its single data repository, will allow GSUSA to consolidate its multiple databases into a streamlined, central database against which all reports can be written,” said Edi Dor, President and CEO, TMA Resources. “Personify's persona-based interface is also extremely adaptable,” Dor continued, “which will provide GSUSA with the ability to operate the system in the most productive manner possible.”
Supporting the Personify product is the dedicated TMA Resources professional services and technical team ready to assist GSUSA and its councils.
“We are delighted to partner with a company that not only has a proven track record for managing the business and operational needs of large, national membership organizations, but also shares the values of GSUSA,” said Margie Wang, GSUSA Vice President for Finance Services and Technology. “TMA Resources’ product, Personify, will allow our councils nationwide to serve the needs of girls and volunteers in a seamless manner and take advantage of the latest technology.”
