Religious and Other Awards

Wear these awards in a single horizontal row on the right side of the uniform blouse, level with the Girl Scout Membership Pin, or on the vest in the area below the membership stars or troop/group numerals and above the next official insignia already on the vest.

Note: Wear only three such awards at a time to avoid a cluttered shirt or uniform. Choose to wear those that are most meaningful to you.

Such special awards might include:

  • International Friendship Recognition Pin (earned as a Girl Scout in USA Girl Scouts Overseas). Note: Although this pin can be earned in more than one country, a girl wears only one pin.
  • Juliette Low World Friendship Pin (given to any girl or adult who has participated in an international travel opportunity funded by the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund)
  • Lifesaving awards
  • Pins designating attendance at World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts centers and national or international events
  • The President's Volunteer Service Award
  • Religious awards
  • Safety Pin for Junior Girl Scouts
  • USA Girl Scouts Overseas Pin

Girl Scout badges, patches, awards, and other insignia that are earned for the accomplishment of skill-building activities or any set requirements should be presented, worn, or displayed only after Girl Scouts have completed the requirements outlined in the appropriate program materials.

All insignia are owned by Girl Scouts of the United States of America and are protected by law for use by GSUSA. None of the insignia may be copied, duplicated, or reproduced without prior express written authorization from Girl Scouts of the USA. All rights reserved.
