  • On World Thinking Day, reflect on how girls and women around the world are creating peace. How are you helping on your aMaze journey?
  • Make and SWAP friendship bracelets or pins.
  • Have a birthday party on March 12 — the day Juliette Gordon Low held the first Girl Scout troop meeting in 1912. Invite friends who aren't Girl Scouts yet!

  • Make some paper SWAPS that can soar through the air.
  • Raise a flag! Take pride as you watch it wave in the breeze.
  • Hold a Founder's Day Celebration on October 31 in honor of Juliette Gordon Low's birthday. How has life (and air) changed since she was born in 1860?

  • Use the skills you learned on the journey to go to the next level and earn your Silver Award!
  • If you come up with several good ideas for your journey Take Action project but some seem "too big," add them to your Silver Award idea list.
  • Did you get any ideas from them about possible Silver Award projects?

  • Visit a restaurant or store owned by people from another country. Talk to them about their life there and in America.
  • Go to a debate (maybe at a university or in a town hall). What communication skills are being used? Which ones need a little work?
  • Go to a mall or fair and observe how people get along (or not!).

  • Go behind the scenes of a bakery making meringues or other airy treats. (Warning: You may have to rise early!)
  • Visit an air and space museum. Or go to an airport; talk to a woman pilot about how she prepares for a day in the air.
  • Walk through a botanical garden and count the scents wafting through the air.

  • Careers: Textile Arts: Create a "friends forever" quilt with fabric from clothing you and your friends have outgrown.
  • Conflict Resolution: Watch a sporting event and note how players and coaches handle disputes.
  • Pets: Use your aMazing relating skills and start a dog-walking service with your Girl Scout friends.

  • Media Savvy: Create a video to let the world know about the importance of "No Idle Zones" (or another topic you care about).
  • On a High Note: Play DJ at your
    next meeting with songs that
    express the beauty of trees,
    birds, and the wind.

    Make or buy a kite and
    learn what keeps it aloft.

  • Gather around a campfire and tell your favorite friendship stories.
  • Visit a corn maze or labyrinth in your area. What did you learn from the experience?
  • Observe how birds, squirrels and other animals relate to each other. Any lessons to add to your Peace Kit?

  • Lie down on some grass and watch birds soaring through the sky.
  • Find a square inch of silence in your area and enjoy it — as one big quiet group!
  • Hike up a hill or ride a tram to the top of a mountain for an aerial view of the world. How does it feel up there?
