Girl Scouts of the USA CEO Anna Maria Chávez and Senator Susan Collins, MaineNovember 28, 2012 — Girl Scouts of the USA CEO Anna Maria Chávez went to Capitol Hill to meet with five Members of Congress to discuss opportunities for Girl Scouts in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Financial Literacy, and to raise awareness of the prestigious Girl Scouts Gold Award.
Girl Scouts serves as both a voice for girls and an expert on issues concerning girls, and works in this capacity with elected officials to promote our programming and advance opportunities for girls in the future.
