Triennial Theme

Our Rights, Our Responsibilities Patch. © GSUSA. All rights reserved.

WAGGGS has decided to continue with "Our Rights, Our Responsibilities" as its next Triennial Theme. This gives member organizations until 2008 to explore this interesting and relevant program. Please look out for new activities for Girl Scouts ages 11-17 in 2005.

The theme aims to raise awareness about basic human rights and help people to take active and positive responsibility for claiming those rights for themselves and for others. A participation patch for Junior Girl Scouts has been developed to mark the triennial theme. Patch activities are available online, and girls who complete the requirements may purchase the patch from National Equipment Services. Read more about the Our Rights, Our Responsibilities Patch.

Pax Lodge hosted a seminar from March 23-April 1, 2004 with the theme "Our Rights, Our Responsibilities." The attendees were taught communication, fundraising, and project development skills. They also developed a sense of universal citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity.
