Girls Scouts of the USA is delighted to announce the start of an exciting partnership with Comcast. Girls Go Film, funded by Comcast, is a short film and video competition open to Girl Scouts aged 13-17 across America. To enter the Girls Go Film competition, girls must submit a short film, in any genre, that they have directed themselves. Girls will be completing their films in summer 2006. These girl-directed films/videos will embody the philosophy of the new Girl Scouts of the USA mission: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
Girls Go Film entries will be judged by a blue ribbon panel of film industry professionals. The winning films will be shown at a special screening at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2007. Girls Go Film is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and encourage our young female film producers and directors. Do visit the Girls Go Film website to find out more!
