The Goizueta Foundation
The Goizueta Foundation, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia collaborate to support the council's Hispanic Outreach Initiative, called Niñas Exploradors, in Northwest Georgia. The Goizueta Foundation works to assist national organizations that empower individuals and families through educational opportunities to improve the quality of their lives.
The Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia's Niñas Exploradoras program works to bridge a cultural divide by promoting cultural diversity, social achievement, physical activity, and involvement in science. Niñas Exploradoras provides Hispanic girls with tailored, culturally appropriate programs and opportunities that encourage them to reach their full potential. The Goizueta Foundation's support of the Niñas Exploradoras has enabled Girl Scouts of the USA to strengthen its resources and ability to provide Hispanic girls with contemporary program options that build self-esteem, provide leadership opportunities, and promote educational achievement within the context of Hispanic culture, language, and tradition.
Roberto C. Goizueta established The Goizueta Foundation in 1992 to provide financial assistance to educational and charitable institutions that benefit the state of Georgia. The Foundation aims to support educational programs that promote sustainable change and have a long-term impact in the community.
