Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
Girl Scouts of the USA is receiving strategic funding from Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors to support our national Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Initiative. The goal of our STEM Initiative is to provide girls ages 5-17 with consistent access to high-quality, informal, STEM learning and career exploration opportunities in a girl-centric environment, while training volunteers and council staff in implementing STEM programming for girls.
The funding supports:
- Scholarships and Destinations to enable girls in financial need and council staff/volunteers to attend STEM-related events throughout the country.
- The production and translation into Spanish of our second leadership Journey, It's Your Planet—Love It!
- Grants to councils to support the implementation of environmental leadership experiences.
