U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The EPA is a key partner to GSUSA and provides a generous in-kind contribution as host of the Linking Girls to the Land Web site www.epa.gov/linkinggirls. The agency teamed up with GSUSA to produce interactive Web pages to educate girls on ways to avoid the dangers of exposure to the sun and the importance of maintaining the quality of the air and water supply (see the My Planet game on Go Girls Only) and also helped develop and publish the national Water Drop Patch program. The EPA's mission is to protect human health and to safeguard the natural environment—air, water, and land—upon which life depends. Their support encourages girls everywhere to cherish their environment and play an active role in caring for it.
