As a former partner of Linking Girls to the Land, NOAA taught girls ages 14-18 the fundamentals of ocean exploration, oceanography, coral reef ecology, habitat preservation, and maritime archeology through the Aquarius Project (now ended). NOAA's goal is to understand and predict changes in the earth's environment and conserve and manage coastal and marine resources to meet our nation's economic, social, and environmental needs. Read more about the former Aquarius Project in a article of LEADER magazine.
