Girl Scouts are usually some of the first in any community to offer help when tragedy strikes. For communities affected by natural disasters, such as wildfires, storms, and flooding, the Girl Scout response has been no different.
The GSUSA Board has lifted fundraising restrictions so that girls can raise money to support membership scholarships for girls at councils that are in areas struck by some of our country’s recent disasters. That means that funds raised via this page will go toward things like dues, uniforms, credentials (e.g., insignia worn on uniforms), and other Girl Scout materials that, for many girls at the affected councils, have been damaged or destroyed. Note that anyone can provide this support, not just girls.
The affected councils have greatly appreciated the outpouring of support from across our Movement. Please check their websites and social media for the latest updates on recovery efforts.
