With support from the Citi Foundation, Girl Scouts of the USA will launch a DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access) training course for Girl Scout volunteers. The training module will equip adult members who deliver Girl Scout programming, council staff, and camp staff with the tools to communicate affirming messages about identity groups. Trainees will also learn terms and techniques to help them practice inclusive and equitable language and behaviors. The training will be made available to volunteers online through GSUSA's digital learning platform, gsLearn. By serving the hundreds of thousands of Girl Scout volunteers, Citi Foundation and GSUSA are providing a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for members.
