Go Ask a Girl

Girl Scouts members attended the White House celebration of International Women's Day, March 8, 2011. On March 30, 2011, Laurie Westley shared her thoughts on the Office of National Drug Control Policy blog about establishing healthy living policies for girls. The ONDCP works to implement programs that aim to reduce illicit drug use in the US and Girl Scouts is thrilled to see that the office is thinking about what girls want from health- and drug-related policy. Girl Scouts research suggests that girls think being healthy includes both emotional and physical well-being. By understanding facts such as these, Girl Scouts believes that leaders can create policies and programs that will help empower girls to lead healthy and well balanced lives.
