General Motors and Girl Scouts of the USA have partnered to build the next generation of female science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) leaders. Together we will offer girls across the country expert, progressive STEM programming, which will inspire and prepare them for careers in STEM fields, reduce economic inequalities, and create a lasting difference. To encourage girls to explore STEM careers in automotive engineering and design, General Motors hosted a Women in Design event in October 2018, inviting 200 girls to participate from Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan and Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan.
