About the Trip
Nestled in Central America, Belize is a small, welcoming country known for its incredible biodiversity, rich history, and commitment to conservation. On this Destination, you’ll meet the heroes behind the Belize Zoo during a special behind-the-scenes experience with zookeepers. We’ll embark on a thrilling night hike through the jungle to witness wildlife in its natural habitat, and learn how conservation efforts are protecting these incredible ecosystems.
You’ll also explore the mysteries of the ancient Mayan world at Lamanai Archaeological Reserve, and then dive into marine conservation with snorkeling adventures at Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Alley—where rays and nurse sharks glide gracefully beside you.
The adventure continues inland with cave tubing through underground rivers and a canopy trek above the rainforest floor, offering a bird’s-eye view of Belize’s biodiversity.
Throughout the trip, Girl Scouts can earn badges like Voices for Animals, EcoExplorer, and EcoAdvocate—gaining hands-on experience in conservation, building global awareness, and growing their confidence as changemakers.
This is more than a trip—it’s a call to action for girls who want to protect the planet and its creatures, one adventure at a time.
