About the Trip
If you are a high school Girl Scout who wants to change the world, then the Global Leadership Conference is for you! What issues are you passionate about? If you care about climate change, mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, art, STEM, social justice, andother important issues, you can find inspiration here! Join a group of Girl Scouts from all over to spend some time in Boston and Newport, while learning how to make a difference in our world. 2026 will be the 39th year for this regional Girl Scout conference!
Spend a night and day discovering Boston before heading to Newport, Rhode Island for the amazing conference. Girls will arrive in Boston Thursday afternoon and spend most of Friday touring Boston (girls will vote on what to see and do), and then venture to newport on Friday evening for the start of the conference. The conference ends Sunday at noon.
Girls will choose three 75-minute workshops from over 40 leadership workshops led by outstanding women consultants. Topics include: STEAM, global issues, social justice, personal growth/health & fitness, stress management, human trafficking, college prep, financial literacy, mental health, gender, and LGBTQI issues.
Girls can also choose to be on the conference council and plan the closing program, sing in the conference chorus, and participate in the college panel, just to name a few of the fun opportunities!
