North Country Rock-N-Wilderness:  July 22 - August 5, 2024 (Session 2)

To the wilderness and back again! Challenge yourself on this canoeing expedition in the Northwoods of Minnesota and Canada.

About the Trip

Crystal-clear lakes, waterfalls, a stunning night sky, soaring eagles, and howling wolves are just some of what make the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (Minnesota) and Quetico Provincial Park (Ontario, Canada) two of the most sought-after wilderness areas in the world. Well-trained and experienced Girl Scout guides will lead you on a multiday canoeing expedition that challenges and enriches you.

Your adventure starts by heading to the stunning North Shore of Lake Superior, where you and up to 20 other Girl Scouts will get to know each other by tackling a whitewater adventure on the St. Louis River then challenging yourself on an aerial adventure with 12 high course elements on two levels!

Then, head to the Girl Scouts Northern Lakes Canoe Base off Moose Lake, on the edge of the wilderness. After a day of training, packing, and planning, you will paddle north to Canada and spend 7–10 days paddling and portaging through the wilderness.

Trained Girl Scout canoe guides offer the tools and coaching to make the expedition crew succeed at their adventure and bring out the best in every Girl Scout. Sing and laugh as you paddle along rocky shorelines, portage around rapids, trudge through boot-squelching mud, swim in the clear lakes, and enjoy the serenity of a quiet evening campfire under a starry sky.

Experience something few others will, and reach your potential in ways you never thought you could on this high-adventure experience.
