About the Trip
Through this USAGSO Adventure Challenge, 20 Girl Scouts will experience the adventure of a lifetime in Costa Rica! Campers will immerse themselves in the beauty of the rainforest as they zip through the treetops, conquer exciting whitewater rapids, and discover how chocolate is made from bean to bar.
Along the way, they'll connect with nature, build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and embrace the traditions that make Girl Scouting so special. Taking place in the Costa Rican summer season, this program combines high Adventure activities with cultural enrichment to create the perfect blend of excitement and exploration - all with a little Pura Vida spirit!
Girl Scouts with an interest in the environment and eco-science may take a special interest in this program as we will engage with the natural environment through a bat ecology program, as well as work directly with locals to learn how they bring eco-conscious practices into their daily lives.
