1. Program Description
GSUSA text messages are intended to provide you with marketing and promotional information regarding Girl Scout Cookies and other information about Girl Scout programs. The GSUSA Short Code SMS Program (“SMS Program”) is a marketing and promotional messaging program that delivers recurring automated text messages sent from short code 59618, which may include:

2. Consent
Text JOIN to 59618 to opt-in to our SMS Program and receive a reply text message. By opting in, you provide prior express written consent to receive recurring marketing SMS or MMS messages from GSUSA at the mobile number you provide:
Consent is collected and maintained in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC regulations, and applicable New York State law governing telemarketing text messages.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to supersede, waive, or limit any rights or protections available to consumers under applicable state law. To the extent these Terms conflict with applicable state law, such state law shall control.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies, but you can expect to receive up to 3 messages per week, depending on promotions and engagement.

Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received, in addition to any applicable roaming charges. Charges are billed by and payable to your wireless carrier as provided in your mobile telephone service rate plan. GSUSA does not impose a separate fee for your participation in its SMS Program; however, you are responsible for any fees imposed by your mobile carrier of any kind whatsoever.
5. Opt‑Out
You may cancel your participation in this SMS Program at any time by texting STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to 59618. If you cancel, you will receive one final confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. No further marketing messages will be sent unless you re‑opt in.

7. Carriers
It is your responsibility to determine if your mobile carrier supports text messaging and if your mobile device is capable of receiving text messages. Your receipt of text messages from GSUSA is subject to the terms and conditions of your agreement(s) with your mobile carrier. Our SMS Program messages are currently supported by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and most major U.S. wireless carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Delivery of information and content to a mobile device may fail due to a variety of circumstances or conditions. You understand and acknowledge that network services, including but not limited to mobile network services, are outside of GSUSA’s control, and GSUSA is not responsible or liable for issues arising from such network services (e.g., delayed or undelivered messages or the security of any messages).
8. Timing of Messages
Marketing messages will be sent only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time, unless you have expressly consented to receiving messages outside that window, in accordance with New York telemarketing laws.

10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time with or without notice to you. Unless we indicate otherwise, modifications will be effective as of the date they are posted on this page or any successor page and supersede any prior Terms. Your continued participation in the SMS Program following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you wish to opt-out of receiving communications from GSUSA under the updated Terms, you may Opt-Out as described in Section 5 above.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws principles.
This SMS Program is intended to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC regulations, and state telemarketing and consumer‑protection laws. Messaging practices, timing, and content may vary as required by the laws of the recipient’s state of residence.
