Make a Respect Myself Checklist

Make a checklist of ways you can take care of yourself, inside and out!

Activity Details

Time needed: 20 minutes

Materials needed:

Paper
Coloring supplies

Setup:
You show respect for yourself when you say and think kind words about yourself. You can also show respect for yourself through your actions. Remember that self-respect is about loving and caring for yourself even on days when you feel blah.

What are important things you need to do each day to feel your best? Think about different ways you can take care of yourself on the inside and out! Turn it into a poster and hang it in your home as a reminder to respect yourself every day.

Activity:

Think of at least five actions you can do to respect yourself.
Make a poster by drawing a picture that represents each action. You can draw a toothbrush to remind you to care for your teeth and gums. Or draw a stuffed animal to show taking care of your emotions!
Decorate the poster however you’d like with your coloring supplies and any other art materials you’d like.
Hang the poster at home as a reminder to respect yourself every day.
Draw a checkmark next to each action on the poster every time you do it!
