NEW YORK, NY (February 21, 2018) — February 23–25 Girl Scouts® nationwide will participate in National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend 2018, celebrating a new century of learning, excitement, and fun that selling Girl Scout Cookies® has powered for girls over the past 101 years.
This annual occasion honors creative and successful Girl Scout Cookie entrepreneurs across the country, as well as the positive change that cookie earnings make possible. Considering 100 percent of the net revenue girls raise through cookie sales funds local Girl Scout council and troop programs and community projects, customers who purchase cookies are making an important investment in their community as they support formative leadership experiences for girls. Cookie customers are also supporting the next generation of female leaders: more than half (57 percent) of business leaders who are Girl Scout alums credit the Girl Scout Cookie Program® with helping them develop skills they use today, including money management, goal setting, and public speaking.
During Girl Scout Cookie season, each young Girl Scout entrepreneur unlocks her G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ potential as she sells delicious cookies and, along the way, builds life skills essential to 21st century leadership. Girls set goals addressing where they want to direct the earnings from their sales—and the more cookies girls sell, the more money they have to power impactful community projects and personal enrichment experiences year-round, like camping and traveling.

National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend offers enterprising girls a chance to show off their cookie-selling skills by participating in booth and door-to-door sales as well as through the Digital Cookie® platform, an innovative and educational web-based addition to the cookie program that helps girls run their Girl Scout Cookie businesses online. Now in its fourth year, and with Dell’s support since 2015, Digital Cookie continues to keep Girl Scout programming current and relevant to today’s girls.
